If you screw things up on the first date, chances are you’ll never get that second date. To avoid getting to this, here are a few tips that may help you out. Follow these for the best chance at prolonging any early relationship.
1. Make sure you are well groomed when it comes to your body, hair, and general appearance.
Make sure you look and smell clean. Shower, groom yourself, and keep everything neat. Make sure you keep this in check especially on first dates.
2. Never make the girl wait.
Never do this if you want to make a good impression. It may lead your date to think that you don’t care about her as much or simply that you’re an arrogant and unreliable man. If you can, just try to get there early. You never know, you may even think of a mind-blowing entrance to impress your date.
3. Act like a gentleman.
Women feel that they are more valued in the presence of a gentleman. Simple things such as opening doors for her and letting her pass through first always impresses the ladies.
4. Listen intently during conversations.
Try not to dominate conversations by talking too much about yourself. Let your date feel that you are interested to know things about her. Listen very carefully to what she is saying to be able to respond to her in the best possible way.
5. Offer to pay for your date’s share.
A traditional gentleman would pay for the woman’s share, although these days most women tend to at least make the offer pay for their share. But nonetheless, you should offer to make a good impression.
6. Drive safely on the way home.
You want to get your date home safe and sound; you don’t want her ending up fearing for her life. Also, avoid drinking too much on the first date. It doesn’t make a good impression; you don’t want to have your date drive your car home. Doing this will eliminate a second date for sure.
