One such story that strikes close to home is that of my very own uncle. When my Uncle was “young” he and his partner had a child but their relationship did not work out. My Uncle and his wife ended up splitting up. He didn’t even hear anything from his son until he was eighteen. At that time he did not feel as if he was ready to be in contact with him however.
After 10 years of trying to be a better person he finally felt as if he could get in contact with his child… problem? Yes, he had no idea where his child was or how to contact him. He tried to look in the spot where he had last heard from his child but they were not where to be found. I talked to him and told him that he could actually use find persons search to find his child online. I done a search and there were a couple of the individuals that had the same name. I got the results and one of the sites gave us not only his address but his current phone number!
Some people attempt to find individuals by searching on Google. Sometimes Google can be helpful but I wouldn’t advise it since the results can be totally made up. If you are going to give Google a swing I say that you should add some additional information to your search. Possibly a birth date or a middle name, that way you will be able to find the correct person.
The whitepages help folks out sometimes but they are particularly not a go since they don’t even let you search for cell telephone numbers. I have not been able to find anybody that I wanted to find through the whitepages but it’s always worth a look I guess.
