I guess it&#039;s a personal thing and every situation is different. I remember I had a relationship that ended acrimoniously and one of the things I did was to try and sort of keep in touch through mutual friends - just the odd question about my ex, or a self depricating comment, just in case anything filtered back to my ex that would show me as still caring and non threatening.

At 43, I alos changed my wardrobe and did alot of those things to regain self confidence, and yes, it got me noticed.
