In the U. S., many men pine for that nice, down-to-earth girl – no matter what they say aloud. In addition to companionship, men want a woman to spoil and treat like a princess, if the truth be known. Someone who will look up to them, and depend on them to make things right whenever they go wrong. A man likes to play the teacher when his woman doesn’t know something – and desires a pupil who will be in awe of his abilities. Mother Russia’s little girl dreams of such a hero to carry her away from a drab existence, to a castle of gold. In her eyes, this kind of man can make all that’s wrong turn right. How can a girl resist a man who showers her with attention, and makes her his queen? The fairytale comes true after all – she has everything, and more, than she ever dreamed, all lovingly given to her by the man sent to adore, and take of her. The fact that he works so hard to get it for her, makes him more precious to her than ever.
This woman’s job is a simple, and noble, labor of love. To make sure that she has a good dinner on the table, and a drink in her hand for her hero as she smilingly welcomes him at the door each evening, is just common sense. As is teaching her children to respect and greet with love, the man who takes such good care of them. When alone with him, she can offer her support in any way he sees fit – lending her ear so he can unleash the days frustrations, or in another, more intimate way, later in private.
Threat of their birthright becoming fading to nothing, makes many men feel unstable about their ability to take care of a wife and family these days – thanks in part to the equality battles that have been raging on between the genders for some decades. To be fair, the modern American woman can seem a slightly less-feminine, and understandably confusing, creature to the males who grew believing in certain stereotypes.
The perfect woman to many men, whether they admit it or not, is one with culture, charm, grace and intelligence – who also happens to be satisfied in her role as a woman, – and enjoys the details of that role. In addition, this woman would also totally agree that there is no place in a man’s world where it’s proper for a woman to try to fit in. Russian women, being fair of face and figure – and known to defer to their men – fit the role of that dream girl almost to a “T”. It may be that American men longing for this kind of traditional life with a traditional woman, may have found it after all, with these exotic ladies. These days a woman who actually chooses this traditional type of role to feel fulfilled, is almost unheard of. Most people in the world don’t respect that there are good reasons for differences between the sexes. Maybe because of her upbringing, this girl instinctively knows not to cross boundaries not meant for her.
Then sum total of “man plus woman” adds up for these Russian women, who desire only the one Prince Charming meant for them – and they will ask no more of life past this. As they see it, God gave them the correct role to fill, and nothing else is needed – especially not the difficulties of a man’s world.
