9 How To Propose Marriage Tips

1. You should already know or at least be 99% certain that she’ll say yes. You don’t want to look silly by being turned down. If you’re not sure she’ll say yes, then you probably haven’t been going out long enough!
2. Try and surprise her, so be careful who you tell! If she knows you’ve got expensive reservations at a fancy restaurant and it’s something you’ve never done before then she’s going to suspect your plans!
3. If you’re planning on making a public proposal then you need to be extra certain she’ll say yes to avoid turning it into the most humiliating experience of your life! You don’t want her to say yes just to spare your blushes!
4. Make your proposal personal, you know her better than anybody else after all! Never completely carbon copy an idea or she’ll feel cheated!
5. Guard the ring like it’s your precious! Never bury it in sand or give it to a silly waiter on minimum wage to bring over with desert!
6. Make sure you go down on one knee! It’s old and corny but it’s what she always imagined her proposal would be like!
7. Practice! Do it in front of the mirror, the Dog, the Cat and in the shower! I know you’ll feel stupid but otherwise she’s going to tell all her friends about how you stumbled over the most important words in both your lives!
8. Relax! You’re reasonably sure she’ll say yes after all right! So don’t sweat it! Just know exactly what you’re doing, plan every detail out and you’ll be fine!
9. Timing is key! If you’re proposal is in the spring, then you could be waiting a whole year to get married, or change your mind! If you propose during the winter then it’s only a few months until spring arrives and the perfect time for a wedding!
